"NELLY'S ROOM"
FIELD NOTES 001

“Nelly’s Room” began as a quiet collection of plants grown through observation rather than display. Over time, it became an archive of uncommon species, field notes, and the overlooked details of cultivation — reflecting a conservation-minded approach centered around biological variation, slow growth, and preservation.

The name comes from my grandmother Nelly’s room, where the original grow tent was kept. As plants were moved in and out of the space, she would often stop to ask questions about them — where they came from, how they grew, or what made them unusual. Those conversations encouraged a deeper way of thinking about plants, turning the room into a space for curiosity, reflection, and creative thought.

This space will be updated regularly with short blog-style entries featuring observations, notes, and reflections on species, cultivation, and broader botanical interests.
